COMMUNICATION PROGRAMS - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS(FAQ)

  • What operating system must be installed on the computer with the TIGER-SOFT communication program?

One of the Microsoft operating systems must be installed.

  • Which BMS program can work with the TIGER-SOFT communication programs?

All popular BMS programs can cooperate with our programs using OPC or BACnet. Make sure that the BMS software has the appropriate functionality, i.e. OPC client or the ability to work in the BACnet / IP network. Our products have been checked, among others with the following software:

    - Delta Controls Orca View and Orca Web

    - TAC Vista

    - Honeywell EBI and SymmetrE

    - Andover Continuum

    - Siemens WinCC

    - GE Fanuc iFix

    - Schneider Electric Citect

    - Wonderware InTouch

    - Iconics Genesis32

    - Foab Noctu

  • Do I need to be connected to the Internet from the computer on which it is installed to register the program?

No. It is enough to start the registration program (PROGRAM REGISTRATION) on the computer on which the program is installed. Then copy the gen_lic.lic file to the computer from which the registration process will be carried out, having an Internet connection.

  • (BACnet) What kind of BACnet protocol is supported by the TIGER-SOFT communication programs?

This is BACnet / IP, ie BACnet is wrapped in an IP protocol. Communication takes place using UDP ports. Usually port 47808.

  • (BACnet) Can the communication driver be installed on the same computer as the BMS program?

YES. Two UDP ports are then needed. One for the driver, the other for the BMS program. You can also physically use two NICs and set up communication using one port number e.g. 47808 or configure two ip addresses for one NIC and also use the same ports.

  • (OPC) What components do I need to run the OPC driver?

    You need:

    - basic OPC components that are installed with the BMS system or can be installed from the driver CD (OPC Core Components 2.00 Redistributable).

    - OPC client, usually a component of the BMS system.

  • (OPC) Can the BMS system be installed on a different computer than the driver?

YES. Pay attention to the correct DCOM and site access rights settings.

  • (OPC) BMS does not see the OPC server?

Probably the bug is in wrong access rights settings. Pay attention to the correct access rights settings for DCOM and site objects. In order to modify these settings, run the dcomcnfg.exe program and then set the service user by selecting it from the computer users (eg system administrator). This parameter is changed in the Logging tab in the properties of the OPC_name service (Local services -> OPC_name-> Properties-> Login-> This account. You should also set the same user as the one who has the right to use the DCOM TIGER-SOFT OPC_name object. Parameter this is set in the Object identity tab TIGER-SOFT OPC_name (Component services-> Computers-> My computer-> DCOM configuration-> TIGER-SOFT OPC_name-> Properties-> Identity-> This user.

  • ( SCHRACK-SECONET ) What is needed on the SCHRACK-SECONET control panel side to establish communication with the Integral IP control panel?

A communication card supporting the Ethernet standard should be installed in the control panel. Cards supporting communication over the ISP-IP protocol:

    Integral IP MX: B5-NET2-485, B5-NET4-485, B5-NET2-FXM (S), B5-LAN;
    Integral IP CX: B6-NET2-485, B6-NET2-FXM (S), B6-LAN;
Integral IP BX: Ethernet port is integrated into the motherboard

  • ( SCHRACK-SECONET ) Is there a need to install SCHRACK software on a computer with BACnet_SCHRACK, OPC_SCHRACK or DB_SCHRACK installed -SECONET.

No. There is no need to install any SCHRACK-SECONET software components or programs. All components necessary for communication with the control panel are installed with the TIGER-SOFT communication program

  • ( ESSER ) What's up needed by the Esser central office to establish communication?

In order to connect the ESSER to BACnet_ESSER or OPC_ESSER you need side of the head office:
SEI interface consisting of: housing (788606), interface board (784855 - unidirectional or 784856 - bidirectional), RS232 communication module (772386) and essernet micromodule (784840 - 62.5 kB or 784841 - 500 kB, the type of micromodule must be the same as micromodules in the SAP system). Connecting the SEI interface to the SAP system consists in connecting it to the essernet network in which the exchanges operate. If the system consists of one switchboard - it should be equipped with an essernet micromodule (784840 - 62.5 kB or 784841 - 500 kB).

  • ( ESSER ) Are a computer with BACnet_ESSER or OPC_ESSER there is a need to install ESSER by Honeywell software.

No. There is no need to install any ESSER by Honeywell software components or programs. All components necessary for communication with the control panel are installed with the TIGER-SOFT communication program
